Mr. Cavanaugh's summation made Caleb's eyes shine with unspent tears. "She was," he said softly glad for the sentence being so short so his words didn't catch at the lump in his throat. He felt the tears drain as the professor continued, eyebrows furrowing. He wasn't supposed to sing - no matter the circumstance. As far as Caleb knew, there wasn't a training for it. Sirens simply...sung.
The Expert nodded his head. He was a Pegasus through and through and it cheered him up to know that it was recognized. Even though Mickey was Kitsune and his best friend, Caleb didn't think he had the fortitude to not hurt others if it could benefit solely him. The thought made him mad at himself.
"Are...is this room sound proof?" It was probably a stupid question, but Caleb didn't want his song resonating through. When Mr. Cavanaugh said it was soundproof enough, Caleb trusted him. Setting the glass down on the floor, he scooted to the edge of his seat. Eyes closed, Caleb tapped into the music inside him and his song rang out - happier this time than in the cell, he noticed - but strong just the same.
