Ripley & Dallas
A gentle smile spread on Dallas's face when Ripley mentioned that it sounded nice to have a sister, "It is...family really makes everything better. Good family I mean. Family that loves and accepts you just the way you are." He paused, "I mean my father loved me for a time I like to think, but then his pride got to him. But Lori...she was different, she accepted me and loved me from the first moment we met." He knew that he might get scolded later for holding Ripley like he was but honestly he didn't care, the girl needed comfort and he was going to give it to her. It was innocent so there was no harm.
Dallas let out a laugh, "Oh God don't let Lori hear that. She'll strap you in one. She doesn't wear them often, only when she has council meetings, says they help her posture or something. I don't really get it frankly. And there was that smile again and she was holding in a laugh to boot. While he knew it was still a long journey of healing ahead of her but he felt that he helped her take those first steps. The first ones were always the hardest.
