Daniel tensed only for a second at the touch, then relaxed. He gave her a brief, small smile. He hadn't really had much in the way of physical human contact since coming to the school. It was nice, it felt normal.
"It's okay." She seemed almost shy for a moment, it was a cute look on her. "What'll I do?" He knew the unpleasant truth of it, that he'd be locked in a dungeon for the night under the full moon. "Eating will be so much easier. Speaking of, think they have forks here? Even if my arm were fine, I don't think I could do chopsticks."
