"I see," Jack said. He put on a worried frown, before deciding to let it go. If Jae was content with the arrangement, who was he to contest it? He would bring it up later in the year, when she was feeling more at home.
"You don't have to apologize," Jack said, moving towards her piano. "This is a school, you're here to learn. Besides, the question of what I am is usually one of the final questions for the Standards here. You'll figure it out."
He leaned against the piano, giving her a fascinated look. "You, however, are something else entirely, aren't you? I have seen a lot of things in my long life, but you... You're new to me. You're quite special, Ms. Song."
