Thread: Sound Off Who: Jae Song & Jack Cavanaugh When: Afternoon of the 19th Where: The Music Room
The castle was always quieter in the summer. Most of the students left for home, and those that didn't preferred to spend their time outside, either going down to Camden or the beach, or hanging out on the school grounds. Jack didn't blame them. The castle was old and would still be there come winter, but the summer sun was enticing and temporary. Besides, one of the reasons he taught archery was because it could be taught outside.
Summer was ending. Not that there would be an archery final, but the class would end. Back to the books, back to the Creature Lore and the history of the Supernatural World...
Jack was on his way to his classroom, wanting to arrange the desks and chairs and see which books he still had and which needed re-ordering. Get a head start on the new school year. On his way, however, he caught whisks of music, floating down the wide hallway. A banshee was always sensitive to music and without even really considering it, Jack let his feet guide him to the source of that gentle music.
Someone was tickling the ivories. Well, too. The melody was soft and beautiful, Jack closing his eyes to enjoy the music. Quiet as a ghost, the banshee entered the music room, watching the new student play on the piano. When the song ended, Jack gave her a short burst of applause. "Very well done, Miss Song."
