Kana concentrated as hard as she could to create the fire with just her two fingers, just like Dallas had done. She felt more focused today than usual, probably because her brother was around and she was wanting to show off for him. He had been worried about her a great deal, so she was trying to show him that she was fine here.
The flames sparked to life around her two fingers, and she concentrated as hard as she could to spread the fire in a straight line. The flames shot out, but their concentration didn't hold. Instead it looked more like a flamethrower that started with just her fingers. By the time the flames hit the candle, it was big enough to envelope the entire thing. "Sorry," she said, hoping she didn't disappoint Dallas too much.
"You only got the candle," Xavier pointed out, "Better than the whole building." He gave her an encouraging smile.
