"I guess I should," Xavier replied, "If matchstick got my power after her second tail, maybe I'll get hers."
"If you want it, there are probably witches here who could help make that happen," Kana interjected, still believing that others talking about her power as a gift kind of got annoying.
The two sibling's faces turned a bit grim at the mention of meeting a kitsune. "They're nothing special. All they do is use people then leave them as soon as things get hard," Xavier informed him bitterly.
Yeah yeah, she controls the fire not the other way. She understood this, but from all the reading she had done, kitsune fire was almost always controlled by emotion. If Mr. Dallas was wrong, would any of his teaching help. Either way, she nodded, walked to the candles and in a hopeful bit of showing off for her brother, she blew at the first one as though it were a birthday candle. The wick caught fire relatively swift-like. She then did her best to will it into a fox shape, though nowhere near as impressive as Xavier's fiery work of art.
"Not bad matchstick," Xavier commented, only to get a stuck out tongue from Kana in reply.
