Thread: A Puppy a Day... WHO: Caleb Blackburn and Valentin Graff WHEN: Thursday afternoon WHERE: The Bleeding Heart Animal Centre
Miss Marcia was, in fact, a veterinarian. She had started her clinic in Camden a long time ago, and pretty soon, the locals didn't only bring sick pets to her, but also the strays from the street and the injured local wildlife that they found. Miss Marcia found it very hard to say no to an animal in need and very soon, her clinic had also become the local pound and wildlife centre. Miss Marcia had to expand somewhat and started to call her clinic the Camden Animal Centre, though the more savvy locals simply called it The Bleeding Heart. Despite their cynicism, Miss Marcia still got plenty of donations from the wealthier locals, which helped her in keeping the place open.
That, and the volunteers. Valentin had come to her about two weeks ago, offering his services. She knew the blond boy: he was an employee of Mrs. Craddocks. Anyone who could work with that bitter old bat could definitely work with animals. He'd recommended another guy too, a friend of his. At first, the animals hadn't seemed to like Valentin, but they had warmed up to the boy quickly, what with him being so kind. Of course, Miss Marcia had no idea that the animals had to get used to the fact that Valentin had no pulse.
Today, the young vampire entered, holding the door open for Caleb. He'd called ahead, and Miss Marcia had said that they could always use an extra hand, so... "C'mon, Caleb," he said, "we can walk the young ones today. And there's these kittens that they found..." If there was anyone here who needed a touch of baby animals in their life, it was the forlorn siren whose car had been stolen.
