Art Animation
Ink can bring drawings to life, whether they are on paper, a canvas, or her own skin. Her tattoos are not only symbolic or decorative, but also serve to provide her with weapons or allies when there are no other resources available for her to tap into. She also carries around a sketchbook with her for further use. The drawings she brings to life are to scale, meaning that if she drew an elephant, it would materialize as a full size elephant, and not limited by the size of the medium it was drawn on. The more realistic the source she uses, the better. Cartoonish drawings result in cartoonish creations, which aren't as useful. She can use any static art she comes across, but she must be able to touch it with some part of her body to be able to animate it; since her tattoos are already a part of her body, she can will them to life without any further action. The animations will return to their original form after an hour, and cannot be used again in a 24-hour period. It doesn't matter how far she is from the medium at that point; the creature or object will disappear and return to its original location, just as it was before she animated it. If the medium is destroyed or the art disfigured, the animation will disappear and cannot be reanimated. The animations do not have personalities of their own, and are completely under her control.
Power Bestowal (undiscovered)
By drawing certain pictures and symbols on someone else, she can give them powers associated with what she's depicted. The results are somewhat unpredictable in their exact applications and strength. Once the ink is removed from their skin, the powers are also removed. This means that temporary drawings, as drawn by a pen or with henna, would result in temporary powers; while those more permanently tattooed into the skin, as by a tattoo gun, would last until the tattoo is removed by some means. As the ink fades, the powers weaken. If the ink is smeared, the power will behave erratically.
Power Removal (undiscovered)
The flip side of her power bestowal is that she can remove one superpower, either temporarily or semi-permanently, by drawing or tattooing a closed padlock on the person. That is the only picture that will work, and is limited to the same weaknesses and restrictions as her power bestowal. Drawing an additional power symbol onto them will nullify the padlock, and disfiguring the padlock will break its effect.I also had the idea for her to have power bestowal/removal involving her art manipulation and specific symbols, but I know we just got someone with power bestowal and I don't want to step on her toes! ♥ Edited in. :3 I also need to figure out how to limit her so that she can't bring like Superman to life and get his ridiculously overpowered stuff while also allowing her to summon things like firebreathing dragons, unless that would actually be okay.
Danielle O'Doyle has been in the program for a little over a year now. She lived her life discreetly, because people couldn't exactly trace (pun) her animations back to her since she could be way over on the sidelines and using them. In fact, she had a vigilante spree with a superhero of her own creation that she hid behind, and that's what ultimately caught up with her when she dug herself in too deep on a crime bust with him and got caught (first by the bad guys, then by the government). Dani's geeky, friendly, has a tendency to ramble a lot when she's nervous or excited, not so secretly loves this chance to get to keep playing superhero even if it comes with the darker, gritty side, and probably hero worships a lot of the other Ghosts. Basically the nicest character I've got.
And I know I'm a little early with holding her, but I'm okay with her pending for however long is necessary. :X
