They had the windows down. Dean was blaring his music, tapping his fingers to the rhythm. Sam pressed himself back in the seat. The wind played with his hair and it felt cool against his face. It had been a warm day and Sam loved the cool summer evenings. He sighed and closed his eyes.

There would always be another hunt, another town. One day it might get tiresome, but right now he was enjoying this extended road trip. He and Dean had been getting along great. The summer sun (when they saw it) seemed to be healing old wounds.

Since we have had a low turn out and that's probably due to all of the LJ issues as of late, I am going to do a catch up round for prompt #6.


How does it work? For Round 6, participants can choose from any of the past prompts, and can write drabbles based on the Supernatural fandom.

He'd never watched the sunrise before. Too many other things going on in his life, if he had time to waste like that then something was wrong.

Today he watched the sun come up.

Sitting on the hood of the Impala, coffee in hand, and wondered if Sam would make comments about rosy-fingered dawn or some other kind of poetic crap. Probably.

Maybe he should have woken Sammy, done this together, but today was… special. He laughed, yeah, that was one word for it.

Today he could watch the sun rise.

He wondered if he'd get to see it set.
