Who: Kurt and Blaine (KLAINE) What: The Reunion Where: The Army Base When: The Day After the Rescue Open: No Rating; PG - Very Squishy Status: In Progress
Blaine was coming, Blaine was coming, Blaine was coming. That was the only thing he could think of when he got the message the day before. He kept checking for messages. The only thing he received was a quick 'See you soon.' What else could that mean? Blaine had to be coming to the base.
All day, Kurt was excited. He was singing constantly, trying on the very few clothes that he had managed to acquire since coming to the base. He wasn't happy with them but he had learned to mix up even drab grays. For Blaine, he wanted to look good. He wanted to - he couldn't even identify how many things he wanted to be, or wanted to say when he saw him. The last month had grated his nerves to their very ends, and finally Blaine was coming home. He just wasn't sure when.
He checked the time again, pacing near the entrance to the base. He sent a message, like the others he had sent as well. Perhaps Blaine couldn't answer. What if he was caught again? What if the mansion was far away? What if he wasn't coming here? As it got later, the questions set in. He went from sitting, to pacing, to sitting again. He really needed to know what was going on. He went through periods of nearly giving up. Maybe it wasn't true.
It wasn't until he heard sounds in the distance, that he looked up again. His heart jumped to his throat, and he bounced on his feet. The humvee approached, but he couldn't tell who was in it. This had to be it. It just had to. Security surrounded it as it arrived, pushing Kurt back into it was cleared. Luckily, it stopped soon after they passed clearance, and again, he waited for the door to open.
