"It ain't exactly warm in here," she replied, setting the boxes of pastries and other bakery goods on the bed beside her. She would have protested at his offering to stand but she was cold and tired and wanted to rest her bones. "You plan on being here for the rest of the winter?" she asked, confused that he would want to be out in the park than in a home with central heating.
Raising her eyebrow at his comment, Sookie shook her head at his offering. "Pregnant women shouldn't have coffee, but thanks for the offer," she smiled kindly and reached for the top box she had from the bakery. "I know you ain't mean, Cullen. Have a biscuit, they're my gran's recipe. Nice and warm too.." she offered in return.
