Who: Peggy and Mary Ellen What: taking a break from the boys Where: the cottage When: Thursday mid-morning Rating: low Open: maybe later to cottage residents
Mary had spent the last half hour sitting out in the yard, Mouse on her lap while she watched Stevie run around and do tricks for her. It seemed he had a draw to her just as much as his older counterpart and she found it pretty adorable. But eventually Mouse started to fuss, she needed a change and was probably starting to get hungry so she set her Stevie on his younger self, sending them in to the back to feed the chickens (and probably chase them around a bit if she knew anything about them) while she went back in the house. She changed Mouse first, giggling with her and blowing raspberries on her belly for a little while, then went to the kitchen. She kept the baby on her hip while she went about making a pot of tea, she pet the pot and a couple mugs, along with a small plate of cookies she'd hidden from the boys and made her way to Peggy. It took some working, getting the baby and the tray balanced but she managed with no major disasters.
"Peggy?" she stopped a moment at the doorway, making sure she wasn't disturbing the other woman too much. "I have tea and a hungry little Mouse."
