Adele did enjoy her guns. She was limited to those she had with her when the island pulled her back in time. She knew she'd acquire more with time. For now, she was content to practice with one of her handguns. Practicing made her feel comfortable and being at the firing range was far more simple than dealing with people. There was no one fragile around to make her worry about walking on eggshells, afraid to say anything for it being taken as insult. And there were no cowardly guys to run away and hide behind unfinished texts, instead of talking things out. Most importantly, there was no one else's thoughts to distract her. All she had to do was point and shoot, which is exactly what she did, hitting the target perfectly as her Daddy had taught her. It was an easy shot, using the closest target. She loaded her gun again, prepared to take a harder shot next time when her telepathy alerted her to someone nearby. She hadn't read his thoughts; she was simply aware that he had arrived at the range.
Adele lowered her weapon, turned and glanced at Hansel. He looked younger than what she was used to. Almost everyone on the island did. She gave a polite smile. "Hello."
