Every morning Hansel took Mina for a walk in the park. Without fail. She'd actually get very cranky if he didn't. And the whole point was to keep her happy, right? So every morning he would pack up her things, including the pink bear that she could not live without and load them up into the stroller. Today was no different. He walked through the park, pushing the stroller and keeping an eye on Mina. She'd dozed a couple of times but never really slept. Every now and then a bird would fly by and catch her attention. Or a squirrel would run up a tree. Hansel also spotted a couple of frogs when they got close to the bond. Even with everything that had gone wrong, all the people that had died or disappeared, the island was definitely beautiful. The trees in the park were perfect for a shady spot to sit, so he stopped the stroller next to one. He laid out Mina's favorite blanket and set her down on it with her toys, smiling as he sat down and leaned back against the three. "It's a great day, isn't it?" He grinned when the baby giggled. It almost felt like whenever she was happy, he was happy too. And not just in that parental way, either. He couldn't quite explain it but Mina's good mood seemed to be contagious. |
