The breeze was cool, and as F'nor began to stir from a peaceful slumber, he delighted at the cool air on his face. The days had been hot lately, and the weyr had been stuffy, and the cool touch of the wind was a relief that he deeply cherished.
Wait.
Wind?
He shot up to a sitting position, blinking as he tried to take in what was around him. He was in a park, and laying beside him was another man. F'nor looked at him for a long moment. He'd woken up next to men before, wearing a lot less clothes than this, but not without a mating flight involved. And so far as he knew, there were no green dragons on this island.
Good morning. I have found you. Canth said into his head, sounding overwhelmingly relieved. There was no mating flight. You did not mate with him. I would know.
"Well, that's a relief, I suppose," he said, stretching his neck a bit. The ground was not a particularly comfortable place to sleep. "What happened, then?"
We do not know. Golanth and Mnementh say that F'lessan and F'lar are bound to others as well.
"Bound?"
He looked down and saw the shining cord binding him to the still sleeping man. Shards, but this was inconvenient.
"Hey," he said, touching the man's shoulder. "Wake up. We've got a problem."
