A full moon the evening before Easter was rubbish. Not as rubbish as a full moon on Christmas - that had only happened to him once, but he still remembered it bitterly. Still, he supposed it would all be over in the morning, and he could eat lots of chocolate because it was what you were supposed to do anyway.

At least Neville had been good enough to make the Wolfsbane for him; the potion was honestly life-changing. He could be sure that no one would come to any harm tonight, himself included. Which was why he had told Maryanne it was unnecessary to accompany him. He would just let the potion do its thing and try to get some sleep.

He'd headed to wheel 5 in very good time, because on the station there was no guaranteeing when the Wolf would take over. It was strange, but helpful, that his body still seemed to follow Earth's schedule, but without a natural sunset, it was best to err on the side of caution.

So, he was just sitting, waiting, flicking through a book with a sort of idle boredom. Which was certainly a lot better than being filled with fear and dread at what might be about to happen.
