Who? Anyone who wants to attend
Where? Usual place
When? Sunday
What? Magic class

The set-up is the same as it was when Katarin was running things, with the seating arranged in concentric circles, blankets and cushions for those who want them, and a 'safe viewing' area for anyone who doesn't want to take part in the practical sessions.

More food for lunch will be available, and people are welcome to mingle and chat in-between and after sessions.

There are no more people scheduled. Remus might talk a little bit about the things he's been up to since he was last on the station. If anyone wants to lead a more in depth session just say so below, otherwise it will be defensive magic, practise, fairly informal with Remus and Tommy 'leading'.

My usual lot are there (Miguels, Tommy, Dan, Ben was there for a while etc etc and also Steven!)

Miguels both came over at different times to actually meet Steven face-to-face (Sarah's Miguel first, along with Harri, and then Maria's Miguel later on), so that was interesting. Both meetings went well. Harri told Steven about Robot and how she'd read a book about Egypt last week, Steven told her about where he worked and all the cool things in the museum.

Gen, Kai, Zu, Loki, Kat and Wanda were all there! They would have said hi to the people they know.

Kat brought the wand she had claimed through an HP door and would have tried out some defence magic that way. It is definitely not her forte but it is not a complete catastroph either.

Gen would have been very thrilled to talk to older Remus and listen to what he had to say.

Zu will approach Tommy and Remus afterwards and ask if she could demonstrate the mystic arts to others at one session. She is a little shy about it.

Arcturus and Sirius are there as usual, but this time Licorus is with them. Arcturus is being a very good son and explaining who everyone is and what their magic is like, then introducing them to Licorus if he is interested in making their acquaintance.

Caspar and Callaine are there too. Callaine is still very quiet but may be willing to use her telekinetic abililty a little.

Aaron Burr is observing because he wants to see this for himself and be sure that a) it is real and b) it is not some kind of weird devil worship. Naturally he will not mention either of these things.

Abra was there with Dan and still an adult at this time.

Julieta was there and very positive, impressed with the different types of magic and willing to talk about her ability to heal with a meal.

Lorna was there, sticking to the safe viewing area for most of it, though she'd chat in-between sessions and after if someone approached her first. She's still surprised people can be so open with their abilities.

Remus was there, of course. Older than last time, like Remus new and improved!

Bruno was there, keeping Steven company, and introducing his sister to plenty of people.

Steven had grabbed a few different bits of fruit and got himself a refill of black coffee (he was tired, as usual), and then returned to his spot beside Bruno. He'd brought one of his notebooks and a pen with him, and was writing up the interesting things he'd seen so far in between bouts of people-watching.

The little girl he'd met earlier was bouncing between the two Miguels, one of the guys who was in charge (Tommy, he thought) and petting two of the weirdest dogs he'd ever seen in his life. Not that he didn't think they were cool, because they were very cool, but he didn't think he'd ever seen a bigger dog than the one sitting beside the Miguel that didn't have a beard, and then Tommy's dog appeared to be covered in lightning. Of course. "Raijū, legendary creatures from Japanese mythology" his brain prompted and that should have had him working out which books to check out when he got back to his flat, but mostly he wondered exactly how the dog was sleeping through Harri's extremely enthusiastic hugs.

Still, he had notes to continue to write up, so he pushed his glasses back up his nose and continued to write.

Gods in his world were opportunists. They had to be. Without the belief of people, their powers dwindled. Some gods jumped into niches that arose and hopped to the next once their old one become to narrow. Kai had never been such a god. The sea was everything to him. He was the sea. But Christians had taken his name, his reputation and changed it. Magic. Death. He was painted the Polynesian devil. All the attributes they condemned were given to him. He refused. But some started to believe that he had control over domains outside of his previous reach. And maybe that wasn't so bad now. The sea was gone. Magic prevailed. It was a different kind. So he came to the magic meetings. Every share of
magic was different. Most people here lacked belief. But they believed in magic. He could be that, could draw from that.

Today, however, there was a new face. One he hadn't seen in a long time. He went up to him, all draped in long white bandages. He stopped next to the mortal with the strange aura. His mana was different. Fluctuating. He ignored the man who scribbled on his notes and turned to Khonsu instead. He had always liked moon gods. The moon and the sea were symbiots in his mind. "I have not seen you in a long time, Khonsu. You are as out of place as I am here." A god of the moon without the moon was as useless as a god of the sea without an ocean.

Steven glanced up at the man who approached him, but abruptly lost interest in him as he began to talk. He returned to his notes and watching everyone else in the area.

Meanwhile, the presence behind him stood up straight as it recognized the being that spoke to him. Khonshu stood tall in front of the Ocean god, an unfelt breeze ensuring that his bandages were continually moving, and bowed his head in greeting.

KANALOA, OLD FRIEND. IT HAS BEEN SEVERAL AGES SINCE I LAST EVEN HEARD OF YOU. HOW HAVE YOU FARED? IGNORE THIS IDIOT IN FRONT OF ME, BY THE WAY. HE HAS NO IDEA ABOUT ANYTHING. HE WILL NOT HEAR ANYTHING YOU HAVE TO SAY UNTIL YOU WISH IT.

The Moon god glanced all round him at the various mortals that had assembled, and idly wondered which one of them he might select as his next Avatar once Marc was no longer... required, before looking back at Kanaloa once more.

THIS MORTAL WORM HAS BEEN DOING ITS BEST TO DISCOVER THE PURPOSE OF THIS PLACE, BUT IT HAS BEEN A PITIFUL ATTEMPT. WHY CAN I NOT LEAVE THIS WRETCHED TIN CAN?

Kai glanced at the mortal worm in question. He was taking notes and ignoring what was going on around him. Yes, he did seem rather clueless. Or oblivious.

"I fear I have grave news. This is not our world. All the places you once knew so not exist over here. There are connection points here and there but they only last a fraction of time." A month. Two. It hardly mattered. He saw Khonsu's gaze around the people. "That is Loki," he started and nodded into the trickster's direction. The notion of 'be careful' swung with the word. Trickster gods were danger, no matter which pantheon they came from. "Besides the Nordic ones and us, none of us seem to be here." And he wasn't quite sure how much the Nordic gods counted. They seemed different. Some called them aliens. "This is no place for us." He grumbled, clearly dissatisfied with his fate.

Khonshu glanced over in the direction of the Norse Trickster, but said nothing about him.

I KNEW THIS WAS NOT OUR WORLD WHEN THE MAGGOT IN FRONT OF ME ARRIVED HERE. I CANNOT SENSE... AH, BUT YOU WILL UNDERSTAND, THERE IS NO OCEAN HERE. WATER, YES, BUT NOT THE OCEAN. JUST AS THERE ARE MOONS BUT NOT MINE

Another mortal soon caught Khonshu's attention. A skinny one, perhaps in the middle of his tiny lifespan, somewhat pale and ill-looking, and yet... the pull of the Moon was obviously affecting him, even here. Interesting. This one had been talking in front of the gathering earlier, but Khonshu had refused to pay attention to something that interested the worm. He would have to investigate further. Or, more accurately, direct Marc towards investigating when the idiot was asleep.

DO YOU ATTEND THIS... MEETING OFTEN? WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF IT? I HAVE BEEN EXPLORING THIS AREA AND AM UNSURE WHY THE MORTALS HAVE GATHERED.

Kanaloa followed the stranger's gaze as he nodded grimly. There were indeed cut off from what was most important to him. The person he looked at was someone he had already recognised as different.

"They are teaching each other different kinds of magic. Some I have encountered before. But some I have only heard from in stories. The common thing in this place is that there are a lot of differences between the people. They believe in their magic." He nodded. It was why he was here. They believed in no god like him but they did believe in magic. Some more than others. It held importance to many here, defined their pride and identity.

He turned his gaze back to Khonsu. "Have you conversed with the mortals here?"

I HAVE NOT. THEY DISCUSSED BAKED GOODS AND BOOKS WITH THE FOOL, AND I HAVE NO NEED OF SUCH BANALITIES.

Khonshu turned his attention back to said fool, who was also looking over at the mortal he had been studying. Perhaps... no, he was useless. Marc would have to read through the notebook later, though. He would direct him to do so.

YOU SHOULD CHOOSE AN AVATAR FOR YOURSELF, KANALOA. IT PROVIDES A PERMANENT BELIEVER AT THE VERY LEAST, ONE ACOLYTE AT A TIME. IT CAN OFTEN PROVE TO BE VERY USEFUL.

Khonshu then appeared beside one of the mortals who resembled Marc, the clean-shaven one, and crouched down to examine him. There was strength in him, yes, but... ah. Not fully human. Spider. A shame. And the bearded one was the same. Exactly the same. Perhaps the mage with the creature from the Eastern world, covered in lightning... or not. The creature's hackles rose as Khonshu approached, its lips peeling back as it growled at him. Another time, perhaps.

Khonshu appeared in front of a number of people, wondering what their magic was, and how they would learn from each other. One mortal, weirdly tied to both Marc's modern time and the Trickster God's time, almost saw him as he flitted round the area, always glancing over at where Khonshu had just been. How very interesting.

He appeared back beside Kanaloa soon enough, and looked back down at his fellow god.

THESE ARE STRANGE MORTALS INDEED. DO YOU TALK TO THEM OFTEN?

"An avatar? Is that was this mortal is for you?" he asked. He had never heard of the concept. But he knew he had already been disconnected from other gods and their methodology in his own world.

The idea of a permanent believer was rather appealing. Once he would not have cared about the crumbs of belief a single person could offer. Now he was a beggar. A low rumble escaped his lips as he thought of everything he had lost. "But I cannot say I talk to them often. Those of strong believe, do not believe in us."
