Who? Rob & Blackbeard
Where? A park on wheel three to start
When? After their CB conversation
What? Getting all the essentials covered
Open? No
Rob had easily slotted back into his role on the station and up at the farm. He'd arrived and just gotten straight to work, he probably wouldn't even have mentioned to anyone that he'd returned if the radio hadn't played silly tricks on him as usual. He didn't want to talk about it; he didn't want anyone to ask where he had gone, or what had happened in the meantime. There were too many war heroes on the station, too many fighters, too many willing to die for some patriotic notion... and he was bitter, angry. It wasn't their fault, there was no point in falling out with people here over it.
There had been a couple of newcomers, and Rob had surprised himself that he was so willing to help. Most likely because they were the sort that came over the radio, the sort that seemed as out of place in space as he was, surrounded by all this technology. Plus, tobacco he could help with - he knew he was in the minority with his occasional pipe habit, so it wasn't often someone came about asking about loose tobacco.
Living in the park. That was a choice, but actually one that Rob could understand. The apartments felt cold and sterile, nothing like he was used to at home. But there were a lot of parks, and it would take a long time to cover all that ground on foot, so a horse was an obvious choice. He'd saddled up up Alba; the horse could do with a good ride, it had been a long time since he'd seen her and they didn't have the bond they'd started to build up anymore.
Still, Rob was a confident rider, and he knew more about horses than most people, so it wasn't long at all until she was yielding to him, cantering up and down wheel three and into each park in turn. It was in the fourth park he'd checked that he came across him. Alba gave a sharp exhale, and dipped her head in the direction of the lake where the newcomer had set up a very basic 'camp'. Rob allowed her to take the lead, slowing to more of a trot and then a walk as he approached.
