Who: AU Miguel, Maria, Loki What: Unswapping! Where: Where Maria is, Where Binky is. And possible places in between, who knows When: Thursday evening TW: Panicking
Today had been okay. Well, as far as days in Loki's body went, it was possibly the best one. Miguel had actually managed to stay alive for almost two hours earlier in the morning before it all slipped away and he'd gotten stuck as a zombie again for the rest of the day. But somehow it didn't seem to bother Maria. She'd taken what Scarlet had told them both, and she was able to help Miguel stay focused enough that slipping down past zombie into ghost-mode was getting to be less and less frequent.
He'd taken to trailing round after Maria as she did whatever jobs she needed to do during the days, helping when he had solid hands and just keeping her company when he didn't, and then she came back to the apartment with him at night. She was amazing, and she'd made an awful few weeks feel so much less terrible. He was fairly certain that he'd have spent most of the time as a ghost if it hadn't been for Maria. At the moment, she was tinkering at some station machinery that older Jake had discovered on wheel two; Miguel hadn't worked out what it was for yet, and Jake had no idea, so it was up to Maria to solve the puzzle. Miguel had just passed her a load of cleaning cloths because the mystery machine had started leaking on the floor...
...and suddenly a horse was right in front of him, nudging at his outstretched hand. Maria was nowhere in sight, and neither was the odd machine. But there was a horse, a shocking horse.
A very large horse.
Right there. There.
He yelped and staggered back as he pulled his hand away, but it followed him, it stepped towards him, it was going to stand on him or kick him or-
Oh, shocking hell.
What did it want? He didn't know, he couldn't think. It wanted something but he had no idea what and he couldn't move because it would follow him and he couldn't shocking breathe because, well, Horse.
