Dan smiled at that comment about wine. Everyone that he ever met that worked in journalism drank. It was as necessary as eating. Although Dan had taken it a bit far. He sometimes caught the way his Father looked at him for accepting a drink. It was uncomfortable.
"I am glad you are" Dan said, returning that genuine smile in the other mans direction. Dan went all soft around the Frenchman. He couldn't help himself. How could he not when he was so warm and sweet?
Dan leaned on the bar top, raising his glass. "Well then let us drink to our health. Let us drink to revolution. And let us drink to a bright and happy future" he said, using his best motivational voice. "As complicated and confusing as this place can be, we'll muddle on through it and be all the better for it, especially now that we're not alone any more"
