He didn't ask for permission. The tesseract appeared in his hand and then a moment later, he had transported them to his office. It was the one that lay in his original home before he had slowly and steadily moved more of his daily dealings towards his brother's and child's place. He still came here regularly though. It was an oasis of peace and quiet. Leather bound books filled the shelves on the wall. Many were from Asgard but that was only the beginning of his collection. Every world he has been to, he has collected more and more knowledge. His trip to Hell, his visit to the sanctuary in Kathmandu, Bryn's world and various other places had provided himself with more fountains of knowledge. On the side was a huge desk. Papers lay open. Asgardian scribbles showing what he was working on. In the middle, however, there was a seating area. Glamorous in nature but kept in light tones. It was where taught magic to his daughter.
"Well, first dates are way improved a slow built up, don't you think?" he said with a smirk. It was still hard for him to comprehend that he might need the help of mortals. But life on the station had shown him things that weren't possible. And life outside of it had too.
"It has to be stopped," he said. The corruption. He didn't think he needed to say it. "I believe it best to put a guard in place. That gem is too powerful. The imprint Higgs has left-" Or at least that seemed to be a common consensus among the people who had felt it. "-is worrying but so far, it does not seem to have caused anything too unusual. That doesn't mean we should allow it to remain."
