"Abso-fucking-lutely not." The smile reminded her of Kilgrave. Of the smiles people would give when he told them to, when they had no control of it and usually would want to do anything but fucking smile. It almost made her sick to her stomach.
"Yeah, something tells me you're not really looking to do much talking." Jessica spread her wings into the hall, almost blocking his vision as he tried to look past her. She assumed Abra would be safe on Wheel 1, she usually seemed to be there, but she didn't want him to see her in case he'd called with his mind too and she came to answer those calls.
Unfortunately, that just made his grab at her feathers that much easier. She cried out, and leaned toward his tug, but just briefly. She used his grip on her wing to her advantage, swinging her body around to trap him between herself and the wing, wrapping an arm around his shoulders and upper chest to hold him supernaturally tight to her front, effectively pinning him against her with her wing wrapped around the both of them. Dan's chest would bruise harshly where her arm held across it, and blood from her wing would coat the fingers of his hand to make it match the other, but he wouldn't get away.
"Who. Are. You?" she asked again, voice harsh, arm just barely tightening further.
