Re: Abra, Dan, Higgs
Dan's mental voice didn't appear to alert Higgs in anyway, the man continued to pace and talk to Abra. He sent the quiet thought into the mind of himself and waited for a response.
It came back loud and in force. A wailing, banshee howl of consciousness of a hundred voices, his own, mainly, but with the deathly whisper of others behind it. It came with a hundred visions of death at the golden masked, golden hands of Higgs. It came with a hundred visions of murder and killing through pinhole black eyes of a skull, golden hands wrapped around knife, trigger and skin. It screamed in fury a single word; (Higgs)
The version of himself continued to watch the man pacing, never losing it's attention on the man. The feeling, however, did not leave Dan. The thought itself didn't feel like one of his own, rather, shared a similar quality of Higgs' visions when he was last in this place. The thought felt like an echo, or imprint, of a memory from Higgs' perspective rather than his own perception of the event.
Dan's mind was not the source of this hollow, angry revenant trapped here tethered to the Higgs talking to Abra. It was a mind native to the beach, deeper in Higgs' psyche.
