The Knight finished by washing his hair quickly, unaware of things like shampoo and the like. So long as all the dirty was out, that was all that really mattered. He felt cleaner than he had in a while. The taint of the abyss still clung to his wounds, and while that was troubling, he had a renewed sense of purpose. While he felt trapped, he felt free. He had been given answers and yet had questions still.
Climbing out of the bath, he pulled the robe back on and walked over to see Sif, smiling when he saw his old companion eating happily. Sif had not eaten so well in some time.
"I would be rude to turn down your hospitality, my Lady" Artorias replied with a gentle bow. "You have my thanks" he smiled. He was going to be thanking her a lot he was sure of it. He owed her a great deal already. It felt strange to the solitary knight. He had received no aid from his Lord in some time, save the silver pendant he had been given before he went to Oolacile. Sent to hold back a darkness that could not be stopped... It didn't occur to Artorias that perhaps Gwyn had sent him there to die. To give him a little bit more time for the flame to keep burning.
