Reception - John and Open.
To Shepard, attending this wedding hadn't been do I or don't I, it was about how formal. Because she wouldn't have missed it for the world. Sarah was family, and the young scientist didn't treat her any different even though she was currently engaged to someone outside the Sully family. She'd been told, rather matter-of-fact, that it would simply make Rawdon family too. And she didn't have it in her to argue.
So she had settled for her dress blues. After all, Rawdon had gone for for his dress uniform, and it wouldn't do for her to make him look messy. Not when he looked so damn fine. Her lid had been discarded on a random table.
She had jumped off the wagon for this occasion, but to be honest she hadn't really jumped back on since fighting the clown. She hadn't really got down and out drunk since that first week after though. But she had the resolution for the New Year, to make more an honest effort. Her fingers were wrapped around the rim of her own whiskey tumbler, because whiskey didn't do much anyway, as she headed toward one of the few people that had dragged her attention away from the soldier in red.
"You don't know me," She started out once she got close enough, "But I want to thank you for helping Sarah a few weeks ago." She held out her free hand to offer it to him "Commander Shepard."
