"Oh, yes," he replied, his smile quickly becoming silly at the thought of it. Belle and himself, and their child... he had dreamed of it, often, but knew better than to put undue pressure on his wife to start a family.
This was yet another example of how his time on the Island and now Space had changed his opinions on things. Perhaps if they had remained at home in their castle, there would be children by now. But they were not in their castle, they were where they were, surrounded by such modern things, and Adam had found himself content to share the current adventure with Belle. A child would be a blessing, they would be wonderful! But so was this time with his wife. And so, he had not pushed or insisted on anything.
Now, though, when it was Belle herself who had brought up the idea, he found that he very much wanted to be a father. "I would love for us to start a family," he said, and reached for her hand once more.
