Hródolf was delighted! He was getting to stay up late. Dan was here, and Jack was coming to see him as well! He ran down to his room and grabbed his wolf and one of the blankets off of his bed, and then carefully made his way back to where everyone else was. He had to walk slower when he was carrying the blanket because he was going to trip over it if he didn't, so he used the time to tell his wolf what was happening. His wolf (Sven, named for his Da) listened very well, and didn't ask any silly questions, so that was good.
His mam was waiting on him when he got back, and she ducked down to wrap him and Sven up in the blanket before she picked him up and put him on the couch.
[I telled Sven about Benna and Dan, Mam. He thinks it's good too,] he told her, and then yawned.
[It is good, yes. Do you think you and Sven can wait here until Jack arrives? Sven looks very tired,] his mam said, and Hródolf nodded. He got a kiss then, as did Sven, and then he settled in to wait. If Sven was tired, Hródolf was going to sing to him, the same song Mam and Nan sang to him when he was sleepy.
Astrid left him singing quietly on the couch to his wolf and rejoined her Mam and Dan. "He should sleep soon. I hope," she told them, "All the excitement has made him tired."
