Miggy had woken up at maybe 3 in the morning? His head hurt and his hand was really sore, because his dad had slammed his room door shut on his fingers earlier in the evening, all because Gabri was getting a new tooth and it was making him cry when his dad wanted it to be quiet. Miggy had done as his Ma had asked, and helped move Gabri into his room to sleep - his little brother slept better when there was someone else in the room with him - but they hadn't been quick enough for his dad. Miggy had gotten cuffed round the head, hard enough that his ears had rung for ages, and then his dad had stormed off to have 'words' with his Ma.
It had been Miggy's own fault that his hand got hurt, he'd gone after his dad just as the door was slammed. So he couldn't cry, or his dad would really give him something to cry about. He'd stayed in his room with Gabri, and the pair of them had fallen asleep on his big bed, Miggy curled round his little brother to try and keep him safe.
And then he'd woken up in a completely different room, and his brother wasn't there. He was starting to panic until a holoagent appeared beside the bed, making a shush gesture and he knew her! It was Lyla! All of a sudden, he remembered his time on the space station, and how everyone had been really nice, and when he looked round, he could see Sarah asleep in the bed beside him.
He slipped out of bed when Lyla motioned for him to follow her, and picked up a teeshirt she pointed out. He pulled it on, and followed her to a comfy chair that was sitting beside a window.
"Sit here, Miggy, please," she said quietly as she sat in the chair opposite his one, and he did as she asked. He climbed onto the chair carefully, and she explained where they were. Then she found a blanket for him and he wrapped it round himself, before falling asleep as Lyla was explaining why Mouse wasn't with Sarah. Lyla waited for a few minutes, monitoring him as he slept, and then stopped projecting for the time being. She would let Sarah know what had happened as soon as she was awake, but while both Sarah and Miguel were asleep, she did not need to be active.
