WHO: Dream & Eames (yes, I realise that sounds like we're stuttering)
WHAT: Internal dialogue
WHEN: Sunday night/Monday morning
WHERE: A dream
WARNINGS: tbd
It had taken some doing, but Dream had found the missing persons. It wasn't as easy as it might have been, because so many people were losing sleep over the disappearances, and if they didn't sleep, they couldn't dream--and neither could they daydream when their minds were filled with worry. But eventually, someone would drop off into exhaustion, and fitful visions, and when they did, he was there. He moved from dream to dream, until he found himself in relative proximity of the person to whom he wished to speak.
He felt sluggish, as he had when he had first escaped the Burgess cult; when dreams had all but ceased for half a century or more. He did not like it, but he could not let that stop him.
"Daniel Eames," he called, slipping from Arthur's mind into the mind of a man who was thinking very longingly of Arthur as he fell asleep--blowing a few grains of sand from his fingertips to aid the process. The grains seemed to glow red like powdered rubies, or tiny embers, before they winked out of existence. "I should like very much to speak with you."
