His questions melted the impish grin. More so that he would know she was serious rather than teasing him. "Well, I would like to think I would wait with anyone. But I do not think I would have had the same reaction to the waiting for just anyone that I did for you. And I would likely leave, and sleep at home, while the unknown person recovered overnight." Which she was not planning on doing for him. Though she only lived in the nearest apartments. "Or I might not have waited through the whole procedure, just been here when they went into the operating room, and when they came out, and perhaps gone for a walk. But I think I would have hurt myself if I would have tried with you. I repeatedly stabbed my finger with the needle when I tried sewing." She held up the pricked finger, as if he would see any change, though there was only a tiny bit of redness close to the tip.
That smile returned and Marian chuckled at the picture he painted. In her mind they were all different women. She couldn't make her mind mash them together. "I'm still far more sickly than I'd like to be. But I don't think that's a visible thing. Unless you are get a peek at the scars." Though she teased him then, wiggling her eyebrows, because he could see her do it. Though she had said something about touching, and she had not forgot. But surely that was something that should wait until he had been awake longer.
Marian gave him a level look. "I can almost promise you that it is not as bad as your mind thinks it is. But you're right, he has it properly bandaged, and you would have to undo that to actually see what he has done. That said, you should swallow that fear and look at it when they come to change the gauze. Because you will have to when it comes to the prosthetic." She had done a lot of research, as she hadn't known what one was. "And as far as your face... I don't know what you looked like without the scars, but with them it gives you an air of danger, of intrigue." That impish grin returned. "I imagine you were rather boring without them."
