Edward listened carefully, interjecting with questions when it was appropriate, having him clarify a few points for him. He clearly hated the part where he had to show him the arm, even explaining that because he couldn't see it, he sometimes forgot, as strange as it had to sound. He could feel the hand there when it was not there, at least some of the time.
A prosthetic hand, a prosthetic eye... he could have a semi-normal life once all that was done for him. And apparently free of charge, too.
Still, he paused once they were done talking.
"Will you think me terribly ungrateful if I ask you to give me a day or two to think it over?"
