Who: Dan and Zia Where: ZOO What: We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo, how about you? When: Backdated to 4th September, just after this Rating: ZOO
This was going to be a good day, Dan decided. He was going to a new and interesting place, he didn't have to worry about money (thank you, Kat), and he had new and interesting company. He'd met Zia in the food court and introduced himself - there were no flashes of awfulness when he shook her hand, so he took that as a great sign - and after exchanging pleasantries, he'd led the way towards the Zoo door. He'd explained about the Cuba door and the Star Wars door (and there was no mention whatsoever of the door to the Overlook), how they worked and what you could bring back, as well as how they had been in a different place on the station to the Zoo door, despite being in the same room.
Okay, there were some things he couldn't explain, but still. He felt like he was helping a little bit? Hopefully. And he was answering whatever other questions Zia had, if he knew the answers to them.
So now they stood in the doors room, in front of the Zoo door. Dan had just pointed out the plaque with all the information, and then looked round.
"Do you want me to go through first? Or do you want to? It doesn't hurt or anything, it's just like walking through a regular door except one side is here and the other's in Australia... and five years in the future for me. Huh."
