Snuffles began to wag his tail at the greeting and pushed his nose forward into the stranger's direction. "No, Snuffles. Don't lick him. He doesn't realise that he burns us when he does that." She had suffered quite a few burnings from such an incident and now she gently pushed the far too eager hound back.
"Uhm, right," she said, trying to remember the rest of the conversation. "Tell your parents to find you at our place. They know where we live." She got back up to her feet.
