Shannon only knew her family, really. Or at least by name. She had managed to gather a glass of something a lovely amber color, that burned on the way down. She wasn't much of a drinker of random booze, she did enjoy a glass of wine every now and then. But this occasion she needed something harder.
"Well, yes. These sort of gatherings are usually avoided as if all the people have the plague. But... What can I say? I love my daughter." It only took a moment for her eyes to find the dark-haired young woman within the crowd. Katherine was still, very much, her pride and joy.
Shannon took a sip from her glass, before she looked him over. "From your lack of mingling, I assume you had someone asked you that you have in high regard."
