It was so sweet but Katherine almost burst into laughter. To describe it like this was just so so Rhysand. She loved that about him. A hopeless romantic underneath all those layers of nonchalance. He had fooled her once but that time was long since gone.
But he saved her from her chuckles moments later when he transported her to the other wheel and their far less humble home. They stood in a conservatory. Bright light flooded in from the artificial park lights. The door behind them let to an elevator that could bring them down towards the main quarters. In front of them the park lay beneath them. The conservatory itself was let into a small rock formation. A small stony path guided any visitor down towards a large open meadow.
"Welcome to our other home," Katherine said with a smile and open arms. Armchairs and a recamier, all in bright subtle shades, surrounded them. It was an inviting place. A bar on the side showed that it was once a cafe of sorts.
