Izzy felt her heart break just watching her granddaughter scan the room for threats. No child should have to be that worried about danger at her age. Especially not a child of her blood, that was for damn sure. Wherever little Izzy had been, it hadn't been the least bit pleasant.
"Oh sweetheart." She didn't bother hiding her own tears at the question and gathered the little girl into her arms.
