Juliet reached over and snagged the bracelet. "I'll be as quick as I can, promise. You'll have it back in no time." She slid the bracelet on while sending a quick prayer to whatever deity might be paying attention asking to let this work.
She felt the transformation begin, something that hadn't happened in so long she'd almost forgotten what it was like. This time was different though, more painful than she remembered and she gasped as her tail split itself in two to form legs. After a moment though the pain passed and the transformation was complete, she had legs again.
Juliet got to her feet (her feet! It had been so long) and did a little dance at being able to walk again. Then she turned to Cora, still smiling, intending to assure her once again she'd be back as soon as she could. But she opened her mouth and no sound came out.
Juliet frowned and tried again. Nothing. Ugh! She'd have to take the bracelet off if she wanted to talk! Cora didn't have that kind of time.
