Coming up beside her, Cristiano reached out and took the present box gently from her fingers. From the box he took out the ring, beautifully worked metal twisted around and around on itself to fit the finger as a band. Upon the band sat a huge pearl, white, satin, and shimmering in the shattered rays of sun coming through the ocean's surface down to their little merry-go-round. Around the pearl sat a circular frame of blue and white diamonds. It almost looked all too big and yet as he held it out, surely on a finger it would be appropriate in size.
Plus, nothing was too good for his Juliet. He had scoured every store until he had made the right thing, putting the pieces together because nothing was right that was already there. Really, even the beauty of the ring was pale by comparison of his angelfish.
"Juliet Sully..." Cris said with a big if not nervous smile, his strong tail curling to kneel before her.
