Who: Donatien and Lee. When: Monday evening. What: First meeting. Where: The courtyard. Warnings: Again, we shall see.
There was something strangely fascinating about the beauty of a sunset. He knew the science behind the setting of the sun, but it did nothing to belittle it. Add to that the fact that Donatien simply had never been out a lot, even as a child, and the new freedom––one that had come at such a cost, he would say,––was still new enough to him that it still intoxicated him.
It was sad to say that being locked up at Cheshire Crossings did nothing to hamper his freedom. In fact, one could even say that he had more freedom, what with all the floors and rooms and the people. How he adored people. So many different types of people and so many possibilities of–– Well, everything. It was a pity that there were so few of them who shared his enthusiasm in meeting one another. Imagine all the things they could achieve together, and all that he could see and feel and experience. He would prevail and easily knock down all the previously insurmountable obstacles his cursed frail human soul had presented; if only his father could see him, now.
Put plainly, Donatien was in quite a good mood. A magnificent mood, in fact.
He smiled to no one in particular as he turned to move to a chair in the courtyard, leaving his spot right on the grass. Spotting someone who had stolen out into the courtyards without his knowing, Donatien decided to talk to the other man. Manners and courtesy always came first, no matter how irresistible he was, so Donatien offered the other man a friendly smile, before indicating the chair at the same table with nod, "Good evening. May I take the seat beside you?"
