"Fate? No. I don't believe in fate. Destiny, a little bit. I view life as cause and effect with splashes of the uncomfortable things people choose to ignore. I relish those moments. I find them beautiful and worthwhile." He arched a brow. "Do you believe in fate?"
"Kind...and true." He patted Felix's knee gently. He was aware that they would probably be pulled apart, given the state of affairs with patients doing much worse to each other lately. Instead of letting it linger, he pulled his hand back to fold it back with the other to rest on his knees again.
