"This will sound cliche, but I mean it when I say that the first few nights I had trouble sleeping. It's so quiet in comparison to the city." Having spent her entire life in New York City, she really couldn't help it. It was simply so quiet out here, and while that was certainly a good thing, it was taking her some time to become used to it. "I needed a change of scenery though, so I'm enjoying it."
Babs busied herself making coffee for a moment, well aware of the fact that she was leaving out how leaving the New York psychiatric circle had been a suggestion from her own therapist. She never had mentioned to him, or her colleagues, that she was planning on moving to work at the center that housed the man who'd shot her.
Honest and openness, wasn't that something she was supposed to be working on? "Do you take milk and sugar?"
Quickly, she started pouring the drink. "Not to dive right into the reason I invited you in, but, before we start in on this, I just wanted to know... do you have any questions for me that might have to do with what happened? I assume you've read the file?"
