"Coffee would be... awesome, if you have some," Laurie said, brightening up a little. Her first day there, Tristan had taken her to the cafeteria to get a cup, and she'd made it a staple of her day every morning since. Some people complained about it since the cafeteria only served decaf to patients, but Laurie didn't care. It was more about holding something warm and inherently comforting in her hands, giving her something to distract herself with if need be.
"I'm settling in pretty good, actually," she said, nodding slightly. "I don't mind it here... it's... safe." She fidgeted a little with the sleeve of her hoodie. "I still write home, you know, to Sheriff Brackett... but otherwise, I think leaving Haddonfield was a good idea. I like it here."
