Summary: Nick lost a bet to Greg.
“What?!” Nick shouted.
“No, no way! You are out of your mind!”
Greg chuckled, “Hey, you should have known better than to tangle with me when it comes to betting.” Nick had flopped down on the bed, but lifted his head just enough to scowl at Greg.
Greg slid out of his computer chair and meandered over to his closet.
“Nick, do you know what your colors are? All I really ever see you war are jeans and dark t-shirt, which is not giving me enough to go on.”
Nick groaned, “There is not way to talk you out of this, is there?”
“Nope, not really. Now let’s see. Long or short?”
“The longer, the better, G-man.” Nick said, resigned to his fate.
“Hmmm, do you trust me enough to pick and outfit for you?”
Nick sat bolt upright.
“As much as I admire you love of bold colors, I just want to blend in, well as much as I can. Oh, and I call the right to change clothes if I look to freaky or trashy.”
Greg smiled, “Deal!”
If Nick could back in time, he would go back and kick his own ass for getting himself into this.
Thankfully, Greg hadn’t make him into a showgirl, but he just looked like, we not too bad, but not too great of a drag queen.
The skirt was a tight black, what Greg called a hobble skirt that ended around mid-calf. It did exactly what it was supposed to as Nick could barely take normal steps. With the skirt went a green button-down shirt.
Nick was also wearing a pair of low black pumps that he learned how to walk halfway decent in, as he didn’t really fancy trying not to wrench his ankles all evening.
Nick had talked Greg out of making him shave his legs, so nylons it was, but Greg had insisted upon a wig, it was a short, black wig that make him look like Demi Moore in ‘Ghost’.
Greg had tortured Nick to what he thought was the pinnacle of bad drag but then Greg told Nick that he needed falsies, he told Nick that he needed a rack.
So, one bra with falsie inserts later, and adding on a black scarf around his neck; Nick stood before the mirror, the ugliest woman he had ever seen.
When they arrived at the restaurant, for dinner with the gang, Greg wore a suit and Nick went as his date.
Arriving at the table, everyone glanced at Nick and the table was overcome by howls of laughter.
Nick saw Grissom motioning as if he was going to ask, but Nick held up his hand.
He and Greg sat down, and as the laughter tapered off, Nick was finally able to explain.
“I didn’t realize our dear lab-rat was quite so good at poker, and I warn you all; never make a bet about letting him dress you.”
Grissom broke his characteristic smirk just a little, “So what exactly did he have?”
Greg grinned and Nick rolled his eyes before answering, “King and Queen with Jokers wild.”
There was a collective groan from the table, drinks arrived quickly after and Nick’s unfortunate betting became part of dinner chatter for the evening.
