The rain fell hard on the sea that day, the Pearl sailed slowly, no strong winds had followed the storm and the rain was hard, but warm; and a welcome break from the usual Caribbean heat. Will looked out from a doorway to see Jack standing on deck, soaked to the bone; even his beloved hat, which hung at his side, dripped a continuous stream of water to the floor.
Will walked over to him, content to stand at Jack’s side in the rain, newly bought clothes be damned. “Comfortable?” Will asked, running his fingers through his loose brown hair. Jack smiled, “You’ve no idea, mate.”
He smiled and walked ‘round ‘till he was standing in front of Jack and smiled, he closed his eyes and leaned forward just enough so his forehead touched to Jack’s.
Will smiled, Jack smelled of rum and some exotic oil that Jack had gotten one on of his many adventures to some wild land. He kept that oil, along with some other valuables in a lock box underneath his bunk.
Jack’s eyes fell closed and Will leaned forward just enough and touched his lips to Jack’s. Slightly sea-roughened lips parted under his and he let his tongue trace Jack’s lips and then slip into his mouth, dueling with Jack’s tongue. The taste of rum made the kiss that much more intoxicating, Will didn’t exactly enjoy drinking it still, it was pleasant when mixed with other things, such as fruit juices; but rum-flavoured kisses from Jack were the best mixture.
Will wrapped his arms around Jack’s neck and turned him around, backing towards the hall that led to the room where he and Jack bunked, he was sure that Jack had left the lock box open from last night.
