Who: Peter Petrelli [OPEN] What: Arrival Where: Upper Engineering [Main Engineering Room] Warnings: None at the moment
A blinding light; he remembered the brilliant flash of illumination that appeared before him without any warning. Something so bright that his hand had been instinctively thrown up to shield his eyes from the harsh glare. It came without any rhyme or reason and swallowed him whole before he could make a sound. One moment Peter Petrelli had been standing in his apartment as he prepared for bed and the next he was simply gone. Pulled away without any indication being left behind of what had happened.
It wouldn't have been his first instance of being transported to another point in time; but unlike before he didn't have Hiro's powers, he lacked the capability of making it happen on his own. The single thought his mind had been able to process before being consumed by the light was that the heavens had opened up. It might seem absurd, but considering what he had seen, it didn't sound like such a stretch.
The reality of the situation was quick to let itself be known. Instead of finding himself transported to a higher plane he felt cool metal against his skin. Eyes fluttered open but the effects of being exposed to such an intense flash had yet to wear off. Faintly he was aware of the noises around him; the humming of machinery and the soft pinging of electronics.
A groan escaped his lips as he managed to roll over onto his back. The world felt as if it were spinning the other way to him at that second. “Where...where am I...” He didn't know if there was anyone that could hear him; only now was he conscious of that fact that he was lying on the floor. His surroundings were starting to come into focus as his eyes made the adjustment but it only created more questions.
Was this another future that needed to be avoided? Had he done something to cause this? Peter knew that only by staying calm would anything productive happen but it was still difficult to fight the urge; even after everything he had been through.
