Michael shifts in his seat and makes a face like someone poked him in the back. His eyes wander, unable to look straight at her. He doesn’t know what to do. When she squeezes his hand, his tightens back around hers and stays that way.
“I can’t forget though,” he says. “Something has to happen now.”
