It is weird, but Michael is the one with a lot to lose. He'll have to figure out eventually, but it doesn't have to be today, and Wolfgang would rather someone get used to them first, to see them as a whole person. They're grateful to Michael for not making them gamble. Their hand squeezes his.
They briefly hesitate upon being asked. This is not something they usually admit to, but Michael already got it out of them... by asking if their grandparents were nazis... because they used a German name... sometimes Wolfgang thinks about how they met and wonders how they got from there to here.
“I, um... I was born in Tel Aviv. I mean, I grow up there.” They tuck their hair behind one ear, nervously. It's unpierced. “I come to this country last year, it, uh. It's so cold here.” (And the people are mean and it smells, but they're trying to stay positive.)
