This is a much easier subject. Michael is still unsettled, but it’s mostly physical; the hollow feeling that was starting to open like a portal in the back of his mind has receded. He wonders (and it feels strange and novel to be able to wonder it at all) if that’s how Wolfgang feels when they’re about to get a message. He also briefly wonders if everyone who gets transmissions is getting them from the same source, and then he realizes that doesn’t make sense because none of it is real, it’s in his head, he’s confused again.
Easier subjects. Distraction. Right. Go.
“Running out of ideas for what, the dreams? I dunno, you seem to have a decent number. If you wanna add more, you can come up with them later on. Most products only have a handful of varieties and then those choices are mass-produced. You could make more than one of, say, the mermaid dream, because more than one person might want that one. Plus, inside the dream you can do whatever you want, right? It’s customizable to a degree once you’re in it. You know the more hours you put into creating them, the more you have to charge. If each one is unique, it’s a boutique item, so the price needs to be super high. Or, you could do a basic set that you always have out at a lower price, then also offer to create them to-order for a much higher price.”
