Michael listens, eyebrows raised with interest. He can’t imagine this kind of thing, babysitting and generational trends and so many kids you lose track. He’s observed the phenomenon of large families before, of course, from a distance—classmates, television, the grocery store. Getting to ask someone about it is a novelty, though.
“Okay, I’ve always wanted to ask this: does it feel weird to have a lot of people around that look like you? Isn’t that kind of creepy? I dunno what I’d do if I had a twin. Maybe it's alright for you since you said you sort of stick out.”
